All new cloth pads should be washed a couple of times before use. This improves the absorbency of the pad.
Cloth pads are very easy to clean and care for as you can just pop them the wash with your other laundry at the end of your cycle. You have two options to store your used pads before you wash them.
Wet Store
Rinse your used pad in cold water in the sink, wring it out and put it in a wet bag along with any other rinsed, used pads.
Dry Store
Instead of rinsing your pads just remove, roll up and put into your wet bag. Ensure air can get into the wet bag so don’t zip it all the way up.
When ready to wash unroll and unsnap your pads.
It is recommended to use a stain remover on your pads before washing them at 30C or 40C in with your other washing. DO NOT USE FABRIC CONDITIONER as this will reduce the absorbency of your pads.
Line drying is the best option for your pads as the suns ultraviolet rays also help to bleach any stains that may be left. But the pads can also be tumble-dried for a short while on a low heat should you wish.
Polar fleece repels water; microfleece absorbs it. That’s why any pad we make with microfleece has a hidden waterproof PUL layer. Whilst polar fleece doesn’t require a PUL waterproof layer, it’s not quite as protective as a pad with a PUL layer. But the added advantage is that it is more breathable which some women find more comfortable.
Some of our pads are made with Soft Shell backing. This is a polyester based waterproof fleece type fabric.
Best of all is Organic Cotton Fleece with PUL or Organic Cotton Jersey with PUL . These natural fibre fabrics have a breathable waterproof layer directly bonded to the fleece/jersey making pads thin, comfortable and dry.
The backing fabric (usually a fleece type fabric) goes towards your underwear.

We will normally pick and pack your order the day after you order. The warehouse does not open at the weekends so if you order on a Friday we will despatch it on the Monday

We ship within the EU, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Note since Brexit you will be liable for import duties and VAT which will need to be paid to the courier directly.
Shipping to the EU, Australia and New Zealand costs £7.
Shipping to US and Canada costs £10.
If you are overseas your order may take up to 2 weeks to be delivered due to delays at customs. However this can take longer in certain countries and is entirely dependent on the local customs and carrier offices.
This can be delayed further if you do not pay the import duties and VAT promptly when emailed by the courier. Please check your junk mail too each day for this email in case.
We will not refund any orders returned to us due to taxes not being paid.
We still ship to the EU following Brexit. However customers will settle the VAT charge through the carrier.
The carrier will contact you for payment of our local VAT ahead of releasing your goods.
It is vital that you look out for and respond to the carrier requests for payment. If import duties/taxes are not settled the carrier may return your order to us. In these cases we will not process a refund.

Once your funds have been received we will ship your goods.

If an item is defective, such as a pad with a broken snap, we will happily replace it. Just send us an email on mail@lunalandings.co.uk describing the problem.
If you’d like to return all or part of your order for any other reason, please note that only unused pads purchased within the last 28 days can be returned.
